Harper & Gibson's first bath together!

I finally got around to throwing Gibson in the bath with Harper the other night and it went better then I expected! I plopped Gibson in the bath chair and he only fussed for a few seconds then seemed to settle in and enjoy the bath very much! Harper had fun sharing her bath toys but she wasn't very happy about not being able to sit in the chair! I think this will become our nightly routine now :)

Gibson Playdates

I knew that when Harper went off to school that I wanted to host playdates so Gibson can make some friends of his own ;) So far I have hosted 2 playdates and it's been a lot of fun...I look forward to more in the future!

I know it's a little late but when these pics were taken Gibson was almost 7 months old ;-) Recognize the tie? He wore the tie for his newborn pics, he has grown into it a bit! Thanks to my talented friend Ellie for taking such beautiful pictures, now I just need to get my butt in gear and print them so I have some pics of my son in my house, ha!!!

Dance class!

Guess what I did this morning...I signed Harper up to start dance classes at Alisa's Dance Academy this summer!!! She will be doing an 8 week summer program doing a tap & ballet class with other 2-3 year olds! The best part is that 4 other mama friends of mine are signing their little ballerinas up too, yeah! A leotard, tights, ballet shoes and tap shoes are required...I am just dying thinking about all the cuteness! It's probably safe to say I am way more excited then she is but I know she will love it, she has always been such a little dancer, so it will be a lot of fun to see that translate to an organized environment. Shout out to my Aunt Judy...she is following in her mama's foot steps, you should be so proud!!!

Minnie's Bow-tique

I took Harper with me to Kohl's this weekend...I needed to pick up a couple of Birthday presents. As I walked up to the toy section I got a little concerned...uh oh, she is old enough now to really want something and throw a fit if she doesn't get it, I hope she behaves!!! Well only about a minute into my browsing she locked her eyes on a Minnie's Bow-tique toy...she was so in love and I thought it was so stinkin cute I had to cave and get it for her! :) She is having so much fun changing Minnie's outfit and putting on new bows and shoes...it's safe to say it was a good purchase!

Roly Poly

This afternoon I educated Harper on the ways of the Roly Poly bug...she was fascinated by it...I showed her how he rolled up in a ball when you touched him then we waited for him to roll out of the ball...she eventually picked up a small stick to poke him with but she wasn't brave enough to use her finger ;) It's so much fun teaching Harper new things, you can just see her soaking up all the information I tell her...I am sure we will be playing with Roly Poly again soon!!!

Kite Festival!

This year we decided to head out to the Kite Festival at Zilker Park...Harper is at a perfect age to really enjoy it and boy did she! :) Watching all the kites up in the air while running around like a crazy toddler makes for a fun time!
