I purchased a bathtub seat for Harper to use in the big bathtub since she isn't quite sturdy enough to be sitting up on her own yet. She really seemed to like it and it was much easier to bathe her in it too! I even busted out her big boat bath toy! Now she can splash all she wants without getting the mirror all wet!

Kristen Lucas or Martha Stewart???
So I decided to embark on my first real mommy craft project...and it turned out pretty well I think! I found some flowers online and bought them in bulk, picked up some alligator clips, ribbon and a glue gun at Hobby Lobby and I was on my way to making cute flower headbands for Miss Harper! It was fun and quick to do but the best part is that each headband costs around $2 each...much cheaper then going out and buying one! Hmmmmm, I wonder what my next project will be????

First time in the big bathtub!
OK, so I think mommy jumped the gun on this one...I don't think we are ready or Harper is ready to be in the big bathtub! Daddy was out last night so I decided on my own that I would try bathing Harper in the big bathtub for the first time. Well after a rocky start...she fell face first into the water and got a nice big gulp of water...I realized how difficult it is to actually bathe her in the tub, almost impossible! So it's back to the infant tub for her...she still fits in it no problem...and we will try the big bathtub another time!
Adventures in Eating!
So far in Harper's eating journey she has enjoyed everything except for Rice Cereal (made her poop WAY too much!!!) and the applesauce is a little tart for her so I have to mix it with other things...but it could just be the brand of applesauce I got, will try another one next time!
This is what she has eaten so far:
Oatmeal Cereal
Banana
Avocado
Sweet Potatoes
Butternut Squash
Applesauce
Green Beans
Pears
Peas
Next up...carrots, then I think I am going to try peaches. Sometime in the next couple of months I am also going to introduce tofu and meats like chicken & turkey! I have pretty much made everything that she eats (except for the applesauce & when I feed her away from home it is usually easier to go with the store baby food)...I have made a lot more then I intended but I have really enjoyed it and I know it's better for her and cheaper too! Eating is fun!!!!!

Denver Trip
Chris and I had a fantastic time in Denver...and I was able to enjoy myself because I knew my daughter was in good hands back at home with her Granny's!!! She was such a trooper, she stayed on her schedule and didn't really seem to miss mommy and daddy too much! Thank you Granny Wilson & Granny Lucas for taking care of Harper and letting us take our first trip away from her!
So Denver...what a great city! Beautiful setting with the mountains in the distance, the nicest people we have ever met, lots of good beer, a fun wedding of a good friend, what could be better? And a short plane ride away, we will be going back again for sure!
Here are some pics:
This is Idaho Springs, about 45 minutes outside of Denver, cute little downtown area...we had some really yummy nachos and good local beers there!
SNOW! We drove up to the top of Mount Evans, the highest paved road in North America, and got caught in a snow storm!
Beautiful view of the valley on the way up to the top of Mount Evans. We got to see mountain goats on the side of the mountain, very cool!
Red Rocks Ampitheater, a very cool music venue!
