Children's Consignment Sale

I went to the Fall Children's Consignment Sale on Saturday and scored some great stuff! I had some friends join me too which makes it even more fun! I made sure to do an inventory of what I already had before going so I wouldn't go overboard...I also had to figure out sizes for the clothes since Harper is multiple months behind in the clothing she is wearing! Unfortunately that means there are some summer items she won't even get the chance to wear, bummer!! I picked up some super cute outfits and also got a few toys too! It's awesome to be able to shop and save money at the same time, I get great satisfaction out of that!

Here are some of the things I picked up:

Sitting & Waving

While I was gone Harper learned how to sit up from the laying down position...now she is doing it like a champ! It's so cute to go and get her from her nap now, she is sitting up like a big girl and looking all around the room, no doubt she loves her new view! She also decided she wants to start waving...she doesn't do it every time but when she is prompted by us she will usually do it. I even caught her waving to a stranger today at the mall who was waving at her! I hope to get a pic of it soon so I can show you how adorable it is!

Girls Trip Recap!

Oh my goodness...what a fun girls trip we had this past weekend! We stayed at the cutest bed & breakfast in the heart of downtown Gruene (a cute town only 1 hour away from Austin) that was steps aways from the Guadalupe river, the famous Gruene Hall and The Gristmill restaurant right on the water! There were 9 girls that went so we shared 2 rooms and each of us slept comfortably...even our one friend who slept on an air mattress! The breakfast they served was so incredible...eggs, fresh pastries, BACON to die for...it was fabulous! On Saturday we split the group up for awhile and split our time between the spa and tubing on the river. I went with the tubers because I had yet to experience tubing on the river in Texas! I had so much fun! We floated for a couple hours and we also mad a little pit stop on the side of the river to extend our float a bit! The water was really flowing due to a large amount of rain we received earlier in the week so it was a perfect time to tube...I can't wait to do it again! On Saturday night most of us went to see a show at Gruene Hall and before heading home we dressed ourselves up and did some old time photos (we were all saloon girls)...I hope our friend Gina realizes how much we love her for doing that for her...especially since most of the girls had hangovers!!! A fabulous time was had by all and I was reminded yet again how blessed I am to have my Lucky Chicks in my life, I love my girls!

Girl's Trip!!!!

Tomorrow morning I will be leaving for my annual Girl's Trip, yeah!!!! We decided this year to go to New Braunfel's and enjoy a cute little town close to home! We have picked out some great eating spots and have spa appointments and hopefully tubing (we just got a lot of rain so not sure the status of that yet)...and a show at Gruene Hall! Not to mention the time to just hang out and enjoy eachother which is what I am looking forward to! Harper and Daddy will be spending the weekend together and I know they will have a good time too! More on the trip after I get back. Yeah, thank goodness for good girl friends...I am a very lucky chick! :)

Puffs are fun to eat!

I sat Harper in her high chair to eat some Puffs today and she had a blast! Of course Jack was right there to pick up all the Puffs that hit the floor and Harper even fed one to Jack herself!!! She did a pretty good job picking them up and getting them to her mouth...still working on getting those fingers to work though! :)

California visit

The Lucas Family had so much fun when we visited CA! Harper did really well on her first plane rides over to CA, she spent a lot of time sleeping and eating!!! When we arrived in CA she surprised her mama by staying on her sleep schedule with just a few minor night wakes and took two-2 hour naps a day like a champ!!! We spent most of our time introducing her to friends and family which meant so much to me...thanks so much to everyone that came out to meet her!! We also found time to go out to dinner with my sister and her fiance Mike to congratulate them on their engagement...we can't wait for Mike to officially be part of our family, he fits in perfectly! We went up to the cabin for a day and Harper was able to wear some winter clothes...Kasey and Mike had us over to their house and we had a fabulous dinner which included really yummy peanut butter ice cream...and I even found the time to meet a dear friend for lunch at a great sushi restaurant and attend a Bridal Shower for my old college friend!!! It was a wonderful trip! And Harper and I survived traveling back to Austin without Daddy...she had a major meltdown on the last 20 mins of the flight too but at least she saved it until the very end!!

Here are a few pics from our visit:
